POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION TITLE: Associate Vice President, University Partnerships/Athletic Director

 

DEPARTMENT: Educational and Student Services SITE: DO

 

SALARY SCHEDULE: A&P - GRADE: E

 

BASIC FUNCTION:

 

Assists in the coordination of district-wide student services and staff development programs and runs and maintains the intercollegiate athletic department.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Master's degree in academic discipline, student services or community college or higher educational administration. Doctorate degree preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Six (6) years administrative experience in academic and/or student services; appropriate experience in government, business or industry may be substituted for college experience.

 

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Knowledge of educational curriculum and programs. Management skills. Verbal and written communications skills. Computer skills. Knowledge of the uses of computer technology in education. Knowledge of all athletic rules and regulations from both the National and State organizations. Ability to mange and implement million dollar budgets.
