BASIC FUNCTION:
Plans, organizes, manages
and directs the college-wide library programs and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Master's
degree in library science. Doctorate's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENTS:
Five (5)
years supervisory experience in higher education learning resources area.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL
REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge
of the practices and procedures involved in library services. Knowledge of library automated
systems and technology. Knowledge of library budgeting and
accounting procedures. Knowledge of College library management
practices. Knowledge of technical aspects of the library
field including cataloging, reference services, technical processing and special
areas. Ability to prepare complex statistical reports.
Ability to implement and maintain library operating systems
and procedures. Ability to maintain good working
relationships with students, faculty, staff and the community. Computer and calculator skills. Supervisory
skills. Verbal and written communications skills.
Mathematics skills.
