POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE:Campus Executive Officer

DEPARTMENT: Educational and Student Services           SITE: EpiCenter

SALARY SCHEDULE:   A&P                                          GRADE: G

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Plans and coordinates the many different collaborative activities between and among the organizational entities based at the EpiCenter, including but not limited to program planning, client development, surveys, research; seminars and/or academies, and related, special-focus ventures. Manages all phases of EpiCenter FIPSE project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Directs the strategic planning process for the Center to ensure integration of efforts to meeting the EpiCenter’s mission; coordinates

EpiCenter’s annual and long-range planning cycle. 

·         Works with College planners and administrators to ensure a Center program that is responsive to the needs of the College.

Prepares and manages the EpiCenter budget and forecasts budget revisions based on current and projected funding sources and

program enrollment.Makes budget recommendations based on current and expected spending

·         Manages all phases of EpiCenter FIPSE Projects. 

·         Oversees operation of the EpiCenter

·         Regularly informs the President and the Senior Vice President, Educational and Student Services, of planned, spontaneous, and 

feasible future activities and/or trends that are of important to the College and the Center.

·         Recommends hiring, directs training of new hires, directs and evaluates all personnel under immediate supervision. 

·         May serve as College representative in academic or business areas with local, state, and federal agencies, and may serve on 

statewide committees.

·         Coordinates development of new workforce programs with academic personnel and industry

·         Serves as liaison to WorkNet Pinellas and Pinellas Economic Development

·         Participates in the development of marketing plan for center programs

·         Performs related duties as required. 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree in business or in management or in higher education administration. PhD preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Three (3) years experience in performing planning, research and/or budget management, analysis of systems and procedures, organizational and operational assessments. Three years of experience in developing and/or managing collaborative business-education programs/ventures. Three years experience in curriculum development for business and industry; experience in program marketing

 

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Knowledge of Pinellas County governmental and quasi-governmental entities. Knowledge of resources available to business planners in Pinellas County. Ability to plan and implement a program designed to increase effectiveness in College/business community operations. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with administrators and employees from varied business, governmental and educational entities. Ability to communicate and to make written and verbal presentations. Ability to compile data and present it in informational/report form. Knowledge of project management software and personal computer experience with Windows-based software.
