POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION TITLE:  Vice President, Economic Development & Innovative Programs

 

DEPARTMENT: President’s Office                                               SITE: EpiCenter

 

SALARY SCHEDULE: APM                                                     GRADE: G

 

BASIC FUNCTION:

 

This is a Senior Management position working in conjunction with the President to (1) oversee enhancements to existing programs and services and (2) engage in tasks critical to the successful introduction of new programs and services into SPC.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Graduation from an accredited institution with an earned doctorate.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Requires six (6) years senior level administrative experience in higher education program development, budget planning and development, economic development and legislative relations.  Strong, creative analytical and leadership skills and ability to work effectively at all levels of the college community.

 

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Demonstrated ability and skill in working with business, industry, government and educational entities in order to strengthen the delivery of workforce education and training programs. Demonstrated ability to work with local, state and/or federal entities in support of economic development initiatives and activities.
Demonstrated abilities as a team player and team builder. Demonstrated commitment to the values of promoting and enhancing diversity. Demonstrated ability to deliver professional presentations using state-of-the-art technology.
