General
Education Requirements for
the Associate in Arts Degree
The
general education requirements for the Associate in Arts degree
consists of a minimum of 36 semester hours, with at least
6 of those hours in mathematics. Any two courses with a MAC,
MAP, MAS, MGF, or MTG prefix are acceptable. STA 2023
may be substituted for one of these courses. A grade of "C" or higher is required for each course. The following chart
contains a brief list of majors with the recommended math

credits, with at least 3 of those credits in mathematics.
Any college level course with a MAC, MAP, MAS, MGF, MTG or
STA prefix is acceptable. A grade of "C" or higher
is required for each course. The following table provides
