The Tampa Bay Hospitality and Tourism Industry raises money with the intention of helping individuals get started, or advance their careers in the hospitality and tourism industry. There are many career paths in this industry which is now ranked as the second largest employer in Florida, and number one in the world.
Here is a great career choice for new or current students at St. Petersburg College. If you are working in the hospitality and tourism industry, here is a way to start your career advancement. If you are working in some other trade or profession, here is a way to begin a career change. SPC offers one-year certificates and a two-year A.S. degree in this field.
How do I get a mini-grant free course?
- Enroll or be enrolled in St. Petersburg College
- Select Hospitality and Tourism as your major
- Make a commitment to earn your degree or certificate in Hospitality and Tourism
These mini-grants become available as the hospitality industry raises funds for this mini-grant program. These monies are available on a first-come first-served basis until the funds are exhausted for that period. These monies are intended for students who are new enrollments in the SPC Hospitality and Tourism Program. These mini-grants are not available to students who are currently (or have been) enrolled in the SPC Hospitality and Tourism Program. This program is offered periodically as funds become available, and thus are not offered each semester. The funds cover the tuition cost of one hospitality course (HFT prefix) up to three credit hours. These mini-grants will only cover in-state tuition and thus excludes out-of-state tuition.
