Admissions & Graduation Requirements
What are the requirements for admission?
- Must be a Pinellas County resident
- Must make an application between the dates of January 1 and March 1
- Must attend one of the published dates for Parent and Student
Orientation
Grade 10 Pre-Collegiate Program
applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Preferred high school GPA is a 2.5 or higher
- Preferred passing 8th grade FCAT scores
- Preferred CPT scores:
- Minimum of 60 on Reading
- Minimum of 60 on Sentence Skills
- Minimum of 65 on the Arithmetic Test
- Minimum of 60 on the Elementary Algebra Test
Grade 11 and Grade 12 Collegiate Program
applicants must meet the following criteria:
As required by Dual Credit Statute (F.S. 232.0201), all students
entering the Collegiate Program must meet the following standards:
- Minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.0
- Minimum CPT scores of:
- Reading - 83
- Sentence Skills – 83
- Elementary Algebra - 72
- College Level Math – 41
What are the requirements for graduation?
- Students will graduate with a high school diploma from St.
Petersburg Collegiate High School after meeting Florida state high
school requirements of 24 credits, and earning a passing score on both
sections of the FCAT.
- As the majority of these high school
credits will be earned through Dual Credit college courses, students
must also achieve scores on the College Placement Test which meet the
eligibility criteria for specific courses in their program of study.
- Students who successfully complete all required courses and test as
specified in the St. Petersburg College catalog and /or on the St.
Petersburg College website will earn an Associates in Arts (A.A.)
Degree while simultaneously earning a high school diploma.
