Benefits of Collegiate High School

Benefits abound for the St. Petersburg Collegiate High School student and parent! The most obvious benefit is the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while completing college level courses toward an Associate in Arts degree. Below are highlights of some of the other advantages of enrollment in the program:

Pre-collegiate Students

  • Small class size and instructional strategies tailored to meet individual learning needs;
  • High school curriculum that meets the needs of the 10th grade student and supports his or her transition and success in the collegiate program;
  • Class schedule designed to include college success strategies;
  • Access to the support services such as tutoring and computer labs provided by the College;
  • Preparation for scholarship programs such as Bright Futures;
  • Opportunity to work closely with teachers and staff to create an individualized plan of study.

Collegiate Students

  • Class schedules tailored to meet your graduation needs as well as your career and personal interests;
  • Opportunity to explore potential careers through introductory level college courses;
  • Use of support services such as extensive computer programs and research databases provided through the College;
  • Opportunity to get involved with College activities and clubs.
