Registration for Term 400 (Fall 2008) 

Ø     STEPS TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES:

?            MY SPC: log in (follow prompts if a new user)

?            you will need your SPC student ID number OR may search classes as a Guest

?            “View Course Offerings” for Fall Term = 400

?            You may also register for an SPC e-mail account 

Ø     Regular Fall classes run from August 25 - December 18, 2008

Ø     Fall Express classes run from September 22 - December 18, 2008 

Ø     You may take 15 - 16 credits; IF you wish to take 16+ credits, you must have pre-approval of your parent and Mrs. Metz (SPCHS Credit Approval Form

Ø     You  may select any class that is offered on the St. Petersburg-Gibbs Campus
(see Ms. Boyle or Mrs. Betts for permission to take any other course)

Ø     You are ADVISED to only take classes that meet AA and/or high school graduation requirements; please refer to the following when selecting courses: 

o         Credit Check

o         Checklist for AA degree (*note pre-requisites for major/university)

o         SPC web site…AA course requirements

o         SUS web sites & e-mail 

      Once you have prepared a “tentative” schedule, please see Ms. Boyle or Mrs. Betts to confirm that 

o         …you  meet prerequisites (courses, grades & CPT scores)

o         …you selected courses that count toward your AA/high school degree(s)

o         …electives count toward your desired major at the university of choice

§          *e-mail the institution & check their web site for pre-requisites

§          *pre-requisites are also listed on www.facts.org

o         …courses are on the state Dual Enrollment list

o         …preferred sections are available (there is a cap on the number of SPCHS students that may enroll in SPC class sections…e.g. no more than 5-6 high school students may enroll in ENC1101); we will assign students to sections based on a “first come, first served” policy

o         …class times fall within the school hours

o         …classes are held on the St. Pete Gibbs campus (SP-BUILDING-ROOM#)

o         …please complete (and have approved) your schedule before May 15, 2008 

o         …registration for the Spring term begins in early November (we will contact you by cell phone or e-mail if one of your class selections is not available)
