SPCHS VisionMission The mission of St. Petersburg Collegiate High School is to provide 10th, 11th, and 12th graders the opportunity to simultaneously earn a high school diploma and pursue an Associate in Arts. Beliefs SPCHS staff, students and parents believe: Integrated instruction, which includes the use of technology, enhances student performance. Serious and respectful students who possess the mindset of cooperation and collaboration as well as the willingness to go above and beyond benefit from the collegiate high school experiences and hold the most potential for success in the program. Staff members consistently use feedback and assessment to provide students the skills and tools that lead to critical thinking and problem-solving abilities necessary for success in life. Vision SPCHS staff, students and parents envision: A school filled with enriching and fulfilling experiences that adapts the processes and experiences necessary for the seamless transition of students entering the program as 10th graders and exiting the program with an Associate in Arts. A program that not only creates unique opportunity for students but also works to build confidence, provides students the ability to handle freedoms and personal responsibility, and affords every student the opportunity to reach his or her potential. A program that supports a system of communication including staff members who 1) encourage parental involvement; 2) strive to customize the curriculum to meet the needs of the individual student; and 3) encourage maturity and interaction with people dedicated to success and education. Cooperation, Collaboration, Collegiate! |
