WELCOME TO THE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT
The Communications Department is the flagship English department for St. Petersburg College. Since 1927, English has been the bedrock of the General Education program for students seeking a college degree.
Courses offered range from Composition I & II, Honors English, and Developmental English; elective courses in literature, such as African-American Literature, Women Writers, Introduction to Motion Pictures, and World Literature; and foreign languages such as French, Latin and Spanish.
The Communications Department is dedicated to the promotion of lifelong learning through reading and writing.
