WELCOME TO THE COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT
The
Communications Department is the flagship English department for St.
Petersburg College. Since 1927, English has been the bedrock of the
General Education program for students seeking a college degree.
Courses offered range from Speech, Composition I & II, Honors
English, and Developmental English; English for Academic Purposes,
elective courses in literature, such as African-American Literature,
Women Writers, Introduction to Motion Pictures, and World Literature;
and foreign languages such as French and Spanish.
The Communications Department is dedicated to the promotion of lifelong learning through reading and writing.
