The Engineering Technology Programs have been developed to meet and support the increasing needs of industry and provide employment opportunities for students interested in those fields of technology. Engineering Technology is a viable and growing area, especially with the addition of the new the certificates related to Quality, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. The programs are supported with related laboratories in electronics, telecommunications, CAD with rapid prototype manufacturing, quality, and metrology.

Students can start their technical education by completing one of the certificate programs and continuing with the A.S. Degree and then completing the Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology or the Bachelor’s in Applied Science in Technology Management.

St. Petersburg College has also partnered with Hillsborough Community College and the University of South Florida in establishing the first Florida Advanced Technological Education (FL-ATE) Manufacturing Educational Center through a grant by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
