Dr. Vernon Taranto Jr. - Professor
The Student Composers explore 20th/21st century music composition through listening, analysis,
discussion and application (through individual projects). Actual composition is emphasized for every student taking part in the course, and performances of student composer's work occur at the end of
the year.
Master classes and reading sessions of noted guest composer's works are often included in this
course (MUC 1101).
