who we are

The Student Support Services (SSS) Program is a federally funded "TRIO" grant program. Our mission is to assist first generation and/or limited income students with the mentoring and resources needed to graduate from St. Petersburg College.

SSS is a limited access program. Applications are accepted once a year between April and August.

How to apply to the SSS Program

To be eligible for the SSS Program, a student must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Be a first-generation college student (neither parent having earned a 4-year bachelor’s degree)
  • Low-Income (based on US Department of Education guidelines)

Applications can be obtained from the Student Support Services office on the Clearwater or St. Petersburg/Gibbs campuses.
