Tampa Bay Living Green
The mission for Tampa Bay Living Green, Inc. is to build and serve a grassroots,
collaborative local effort to achieve tangible improvements in sustainability with special focus on improving environmental conditions through cumulative local actions in Pinellas County, Fla.
Freecycle
The SP FL Freecycle group is open to all that live in the St. Petersburg area and surrounding
towns who want to "recycle" things rather than throw it away. Or maybe
you're looking to acquire something that you need! Nonprofit groups are also
welcome!
Saturday Morning Market
The market has achieved an extraordinary degree of success since opening in
November 2002. It was organized by a group of volunteers who share a vision
of creating a strong spirit of community - a place with a colorful upbeat
feeling, where you'll find a unique selection of products, and where you
shop with vendors you know by name.
Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society
The Florida Native Plant Society was organized in 1980 to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida.
Tampa Bay Watch
Tampa Bay Watch, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit stewardship program dedicated
exclusively to the protection and restoration of the marine and wetland
environments of the Tampa Bay estuary through scientific and educational
programs.
Seminole discussion group on recycling and sustainability
A group of concerned citizens who meet once a month at the SPC Seminole Campus Community Library to discuss sustainability. Guest speakers and members help educate each other. To join the group, contact Mary Hampton at queenofrecycle@hotmail.com.

Pinellas County Sustainability
Pinellas County was the first government in the state to receive the
designation of Green Local Government.
Pinellas County Recycling
Seventy percent of the waste in the county can be recycled. Conserve
landfill space and ensure a sustainable future by finding out what can and
can't be recycled in Pinellas County.

Pinellas County Extension offers residents information to help them make sustainable decisions.
St
Petersburg: Green City
St. Petersburg was designated as the first city in the state
to become a "Green City" by the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC).
Green Clearwater
Clearwater is planting the seeds for a greener, cleaner city. Our
organization promised to protect the environment when Mayor Hibbard signed
the U.S. Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Agreement. The city also
partnered with the University of South Florida to identify areas of
opportunity to improve our beautiful city's sustainability for future
generations.
Bay Area Commuter Services
Bay Area Commuter Services, Inc. (BACS) is one of the Florida Department of
Transportation's nine commuter assistance programs within the state.

Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education
AASHE is an association of colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada working to
create a sustainable future. It was founded in 2006 with a mission to promote sustainability in all sectors of higher education.
Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, USGBC
The mission of the FGCC is to lead the region toward sustainability by encouraging and
advancing environmental friendly knowledge and values as they pertain to the
built environment and its relationship and impact on nature and human kind. The USGBC is
a 501(c)(3) non-profit community of leaders working to make green buildings
available to everyone within a generation.
Florida Green Building Coalition
The FGBC is a nonprofit Florida corporation dedicated to improving the built environment.
Our mission is "to provide a statewide green building program with environmental and economic benefits."
Solar Source Institute
Solar Source Institute is an educational facility located in Largo, Florida.
Founded in 2007, the mission is to educate and train architects, engineers,
builders-developers, electrical and solar contractors, and ultimately all
other contractors that touch the solar industry.
