State Employee Opportunity Plan

What is it?

St. Petersburg College is proud to offer a plan to enhance your job skills and prepare for your future. We can design a personalized program for your professional goals, whether they are to brush up on your skills or to earn a certificate, Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree (in limited disciplines). As an added benefit, you may be eligible for a tuition waiver for up to six credit hours on a space available basis for qualifying courses.

Who is eligible?

All full-time permanent state employees as certified by your human resources department. Please note that this does not include persons employed by the state university system, the community college system, or local school districts. A signed tuition waiver form must be submitted for each session in which you wish to enroll.

What is covered?

The waiver covers matriculation and tuition of courses registered for during the State Employee Opportunity Plan registration period. It does not cover lab fees, special fees, or the cost of textbooks and materials.
