How to become a Transient Student

Transient students are currently enrolled college students who attend another institution, such as St. Petersburg College, on a temporary basis; for example, a university student who attends summer semester at SPC. Follow these steps to become a transient student at SPC:

  1. If you have never attended St. Petersburg College, Apply to SPC as a (non-degree seeking) transient student and pay the $35 application fee. If you attended SPC previously, you are not required to pay the fee a second time.

  2. Complete a transient form from your home college:

    a. Participating public colleges/universities in Florida allow students to submit transient form requests online via www.facts.org

    b. Students from private and other schools not listed at www.facts.org must submit an approved transient form signed by their home college registrar.

  3. Register in person with your signed transient form and registration form during open registration (See Academic Calendar).  For distance learners, both forms may be faxed to (727) 394-6132 (include your student ID number and contact information).

View Our Course Schedule Booklet or search for specific,
real- time course availability via MySPC, "View Course Offerings."

To apply for admission to SPC, go to MySPC, then click on “Apply for Admission” under SPC Guest Resources.
