  • Through the Lifelong Learning program, the community can explore a variety of courses that enrich their knowledge, begin new hobbies, or simply have fun! Courses offered include Digital Photography, Computers for the Community, Financial Planning, Foreign Language, Music, Pet Training, Arts & Antiques day trips, Academic/Test Preparation, Boater education and other enrichment opportunities. A non-credit English as a Second Languae (ESL) is offered to workplace employees as well as on-campus to new community residents. After school enrichment classes for K-5 grade are available at several elementary schools.

    "Separation & Divorce: A Child's View" is a four-hour state-mandated course for parents with children under 18 to help them cope with separation and divorce. In this class, parents will learn more effective ways of communicating with each other and how to identify children's behavorial reactions at different ages.

    There are three Guardianship courses: an eight-hour minor child training, a twelve-hour family training and a 48-hour Professional Guardianship course that prepares enrollees with the activities and requirements for legal guardians. All of these courses meet the state and local requirements for guardianship.

    College for Kids is an eight-week educational, cultural and social program for children in the community in grades K-6. It is offered during the summer months of May, June, and July and held at local Pinellas County School sites. All 150 teachers are state certified. Each site offers math, reading, foreign language, science, art and physical education classes daily. A special six-week Space camp and Science camps are also held each year.
