Those students in a program of study leading toward a degree or certificate in a health
care profession who will be providing health care services to a patient or clinic under the direction of a
faculty member of the College as a part of the course of study are required to have student professional
liability (malpractice) insurance for which a fee is charged. Students in the health programs are also required to carry clinical accidental
insurance, which must be obtained through the College and for which a special fee will be charged. The
professional liability coverage does not protect the student in the event of illness or injury.
