Those students in a program of study leading toward a degree or certificate in a health
care profession who will be providing health care services to a patient or clinic under the direction of a
faculty member of the College as a part of the course of study are required to have student professional
liability (malpractice) insurance for which a special fee is charged. (See liability insurance fee listing in
the Financial Information.) Students in the health programs are also required to carry clinical accidental
insurance, which must be obtained through the College and for which a special fee will be charged. The
professional liability coverage does not protect the student in the event of illness or injury.
