Up close and personal
Amy Hermann found her passion at St. Petersburg College.
When she began classes at what was then St. Petersburg Junior College, she didn’t make a lot of progress because she didn’t know what she wanted to do.
Then she discovered teaching – and her life’s passion. Because of SPC’s flexibility, she was able to tackle her education studies while juggling the needs of a husband, two sons and a full-time job.
“SPC is always available to me, so there is nothing that limits me from pursing my passion for teaching,” she said. “The schedule is great, the price is great, and SPC’s locations make the whole process very convenient.”
After earning her associate degree, she will work on her baccalaureate degree.
“Challenges? I guess there have been some,” she said. “But to tell the truth, the whole process has really been very easy.”
