Who are you?

  • New Credit-seeking student
New students (including transfer students) seeking to earn a degree or certificate or take credit courses, even if you are not working towards a specific degree, should follow the steps on this page. If you are seeking a bachelor's degree, review the baccalaureate program admissions requirements for the program you are interested in first.

  • Returning student
If you were a student at SPC and are returning to continue your studies, the process is much easier. Please note, however, that if you have not been enrolled in credit courses at SPC in the past three semesters, you will be asked to provide updated residency information for tuition purposes.

  • Current student seeking a bachelor's degree
Review the baccalaureate program admissions requirements for the program you are interested in. Then go to MySPC, login and click on “Apply - BS/BAS/Upper Div Cert” under Student Services.

  • International student
Visit the International Student Services site for applications and complete admissions procedures.

  • Non-credit student
Visit the Non Credit Students page for instructions on how to enroll for non-credit courses (College for Kids, Driver Improvement, coping with divorce, Corporate Training, Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning).

Step 1 Submit application and fee online or apply by mail or in person.
Step 2

Take the Computerized Placement Test (CPT). The CPT may be substituted by SAT/ACT scores and/or appropriate college-level coursework from another institution. See an academic advisor for details.

Step 7 Meet with an academic advisor to discuss your educational plan.
Step 8

In MySPC, click on "SPC student e-mail." This is the primary way for you to receive official communications from SPC. To forward this e-mail to another address, choose "Forwarding" from the Account Options menu.

Step 9

Register online for classes via MySPC. See registration instructions. See Academic Calendar for registration dates.

Step 10

Pay for classes online at MySPC.

Step 11

Obtain your student photo ID card from the designated area on your campus.
