Before you register
1 – Complete online orientation
If you are a new or transfer degree-seeking student, you must complete the Interactive Student Orientation before registering for classes.
2 – Review your degree progress report for a summary of remaining graduation requirements.
After logging on to MySPC, click on “View Educational Plan” under the Records heading. Then click on the “Educational Plans” tab, and “Plan Requirements”. Note the course subjects and catalogue numbers for the courses that you need (e.g. For ENC 1101, the course subject is ENC and the catalogue number is 1101).
3 - Check to see if you have any holds
Choose “View My Holds” under the Records heading. Types of holds that prevent registration are:
- Business office
- Duplicate ID
- Registration hold (Dual Credit/Early Admissions)
- Registration hold (missing transcripts)
- Records hold
4 – Plan ahead for pre-requisites and special permissions
Contact an advisor if you have questions about course pre-requisites that require special permission from an instructor or program director.
