INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS

The college is proud of the completion rate of its student athletes. We consistently rank with leaders in the State of Florida in placing student athletes on the Florida Community College Activities Association and Suncoast Conference All-Academic lists. The following is the completion rate for the 1998-99 cohort group. As the statistics indicate, 56% of the student athletes in the cohort group graduated or transferred to another institution in that cohort.

GENDER EQUITY IN INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS

Intercollegiate athletics are a long-standing tradition at SPC, where men's and women's teams compete at the state and national level. In a continuing effort to promote gender equity and expand athletic opportunities for women, the addition of women's volleyball was approved by the Board of Trustees on July 16, 1996.
