GRADUATION AND TRANSFER RATES

SPC provides each student with valuable information about the success of students who attend the College. The table below tracks students who entered the college in the fall of 1997, through the spring of 2001. To accurately describe graduation rates of students who are fully committed to graduating, only full-time students who entered college for the first time that fall were included in this cohort. By limiting the study to full-time, first time in college students, the number of students enrolled at the college is greatly underrepresented. In fact, this population is so small that it would be inappropriate to draw broad conclusions about all students attending the college. Still, most SPC students do very well when compared to state averages for graduation. Additionally, it is important to note that many students who have not graduated may have transferred to a four-year college or university or taken a job in the field of their major, and they may consider themselves to be fully successful.
