The
Learning Support Centers supplement and enrich the existing programs at the
College. They are located in the Language Arts Building on the Clearwater
Campus, in the Information Commons on the Seminole Campus, in the SA
Building on the St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus and in the Learning Support
Center at the Tarpon Springs Campus. These centers offer alternative
learning opportunities for all currently enrolled students to develop
strengths and to eliminate deficiencies. These centers aid students with
academically deficient backgrounds through tutoring and supplementary
materials in reading, writing and mathematics; supplement and enrich other
existing courses through the use of additional materials; provide
alternative learning strategies through audio-visual, tutorial,
individualized, self-paced, one-on-one tutorial and computer-assisted work;
provide learning opportunities for students with disabilites; provide lifelong
learning opportunities for all adults in the community and provide testing
facilities for students.
