Feeling fearful about going to college? Relax. Through Women on the Way, you’ll soon be on your way to attaining your goals and achieving success. Women on the Way (WOW) is designed to meet the educational needs of women who desire resources and support to complete college. Call us today at (727) 791-2634 and let us help you get started.

You don't have to face college alone

  • At SPC, the average student age is almost 30. Many students
    are re-entering education after a period of absence.
  • Most students work while going to school.
  • Financial assistance is available to full- and part-time students who qualify. There are no age restrictions on financial assistance.
  • There's a variety of support services to meet your needs.

Services designed for you

Housed in the Social Science Building on SPC’s Clearwater Campus, the WOW Center offers:

  • Information on campus and community resources, including
    advising services, financial assistance, housing, and child care.
  • Peer and group support.
  • Motivational speakers.
  • Mentors.
  • Scholarships for eligible WOW members.
  • WOW newsletter and calendar of events.
  • Textbook lending.
  • Activity center for study, relaxation, coffee and meeting new friends.
  • Weekly group meetings.
  • Positive Directions Association campus club.

SPC general admission requirements

Requirements for admission to degree and certificate programs at St. Petersburg College vary from program to program, and there are a variety of admissions categories based on an individual’s educational and career goals. Students should refer to the college catalog or consult an advisor or the program director responsible for the program of interest to learn about specific admission requirements.

Financial assistance

Assistance for qualified students in the form of grants, scholarships, loans and work opportunities is available from many sources. Students seeking assistance with college fees should contact SPC’s Office of Financial Assistance Services at: Clearwater Campus, AD 108, or call (727) 791-2485.
