 Deveron Gibbons was appointed to the St. Petersburg College Board of Trustees by Gov. Jeb Bush effective May 31, 2006. He is vice president of Public Affairs with the Amscot Corporation. He is the board's current chairman. A St. Petersburg native and current resident, he is a graduate of Northeast High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 1995 and his master’s in Public Administration from the University of South Florida in 2006. He has extensive experience in public and governmental affairs as a consultant, political advisor and registered lobbyist for a wide spectrum of clients. His association with SPC began at age 3, when he would accompany his mother to the library on what is now the St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus.
