Key Position Info:

Must hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and hold such professional license or certificate as is required by the state of Florida.  State license and RRT must be verified by the National Board for Respiratory Care. 

Must have earned at least a Master’s degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).

Must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist; of which at least two (2) years must include experience in clinical respiratory care.   Must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in a related field to assigned area, plus specialized courses in the field. Must be able to be credentialed in one of the areas he/she supervises. Some positions may require a higher level of education.
 

Three (3) years of management experience in assigned area.

* An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job may be acceptable in lieu of those requirements listed above.
