SUPPORTING A CULTURE OF BELONGING

The Belonging Advisory Committee provides recommendations and advice to support the efforts of the Office of Belonging in advancing a culture of belonging at St. Petersburg College. The committee also assists and ensures alignment with SPC’s strategy, mission, and commitment to equity.

The committee will hold quarterly meetings.

Function/Scope

  • Ensure alignment with the organization’s strategy, mission, and commitment to equity.
  • Provide guidance for initiatives at SPC.
  • Identify opportunities and supportive strategies, which reinforce a culture of belonging and enhance the employee experience.

The committee includes multiple members of the college community including students and employees and a member(s) of the community. Member nominations will be requested from employee resource groups, staff councils and other constituent groups. All appointments, including the co-chairs of the committee will be appointed by the college's President. Members listed as ERG also serve on the college's Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
