Explore an exciting career in Hospitality and Tourism
At SPC, we prepare you to move up in one of Florida's hottest industries: tourism. Our hospitality and tourism management programs help you master the management skills needed in an industry that employees 2 million people and brings in more than $127 billion a year to Florida, according to the state's tourism agency, Visit Florida.
Through a partnership with Visit St. Pete-Clearwater and the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, SPC's Introduction to Hospitality course is now a dynamic, hands-on learning experience that prepares students for thriving careers in Florida’s booming tourism and hospitality industry.
The revamped course eliminates traditional textbooks in favor of interactive, locally driven content. Leveraging the resources of Visit St. Pete-Clearwater and the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association, the course will feature high-quality videos, images, and insights from local industry leaders. Students will get an immersive look into the diverse segments of the hospitality sector, from hotels and resorts to event planning and tourism operations. Students learn directly from industry partners by visiting their facilities and exploring the diverse aspects of hospitality that often go unnoticed.
