St. Petersburg College Host Corporate Day to Shape the Future of Work

St. Petersburg College will host SPC Corporate Day, a half-day summit designed to strengthen collaboration between the college, employers, students and community partners as they explore The Future of Work and SPC’s leadership in workforce development.

Taking place on Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Chris Sprowls Workforce Innovation Hub on SPC’s Tarpon Springs Campus, 600 Klosterman Road, SPC's Corporate Day will reinforce the college’s commitment to driving Better Jobs, Better Lives and Better Communities through innovation, expanded partnerships, and enhanced job placement efforts. RSVP and registration are required. Businesses and organizations are invited to attend to learn how they can strengthen their workforce and talent development.

The event will feature dynamic discussions, collaborative sessions, and a keynote address by Fred McCoy, Executive Vice President of Jabil, highlighting SPC’s strategic focus on employer engagement and student success.

Fred McCoy, Executive Vice President of Jabil, emphasized the importance of this partnership-focused event, stating, “SPC Corporate Day is an exciting opportunity to strengthen collaboration across education and industry. Together, we can build a talent pipeline that supports innovation and drives regional prosperity.”

Several leading organizations will also participate in the summit, representing a cross-section of the region’s workforce landscape. Attending businesses include Jabil, PolyPak, Mission Critical Solutions, People Empowering & Restoring Communities (PERC), Tap Engineering, Florida Print Solutions, Honeywell, SmartChoice, Advent Health, CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas, Suncoast Credit Union, Velocity IQ and Lockheed Martin.

These organizations will join SPC leadership and students in conversations about talent development, industry needs, and strategies for strengthening regional workforce pipelines.
