Below you'll find several programs and partnerships that can help you finish your education.

Guaranteed Transfer Plans

FUSE and IGNITE imageEligible students get guaranteed admission into select programs at the University of South Florida System or Florida A&M University through the FUSE and Ignite programs. Students earn their associate degree at SPC, then transfer to one of these universities. This means you'll spend less on your four-year degree than attending a university from day one.

Mechatronics Electromechanical Technician Training (METT)

mettSPC is now offering free or low-cost Mechatronics Electromechanical Technician Training (METT) in a hybrid format through a grant from the State of Florida's Department of Economic Opportunity. The METT grant offers nine courses at SPC's Workforce Institute and two additional courses at Pinellas Technical College.

Providing Instruction for Tomorrow's Collegians and Hires (PITCH)

pitch program imageThis joint program between the City of St. Petersburg and SPC offers free high quality educational, career and character development training for African-American males between 18-24 who live in St. Petersburg. You can earn a certificate in arts, business, health care, public safety, social and human services or technology that will help you get a job through the PITCH program.

Pinellas Access to Higher Education (PATHe)

Pathe programEarn your associate and bachelor's degree while staying in Pinellas County. Pinellas Access to Higher Education (PATHe) works to educate residents on pathways to higher education. You can begin your education at SPC and earn an Associate of Arts degree. You then can seamlessly transition to the University of South Florida (USFSP) to complete your undergraduate experience and earn your bachelor's degree.

St. Pete Works!

St Pete Works logoA collaborative project of community-based organizations, working together with employers and local agencies to provide quality services supporting workforce opportunities in our community. The goal of St. Pete Works is to drive practices, policies, and investments that provide sustainable employment for our residents, employers with a skilled workforce for employers, and build a more prosperous community for South St. Petersburg.

Tampa Bay Bridge to Baccalaureate Program (B2B)

B2B-Grant-LogoStay on track to your bachelor's degree in technology with the Tampa Bay Bridge to Baccalaureate Program (B2B) that assists SPC students who want to pursue degrees in STEM fields.

Transfer Connect

UCF Transfer Connect-imageSPC and the University of Central Florida have partnered to provide Transfer Connect. Start at SPC and earn your associate degree, then transfer to a UCF Online bachelor's program. Transfer Connect offers pre-enrollment coaching from UCF counselors and other student support services for a smooth transition to this university.

University Partnership Center (UPC)

UPC logoThe center is the first of its kind in Florida and one of only a handful nationwide. An alliance of 16 colleges and universities, it provides access to bachelor’s and graduate degree programs for people in the Pinellas County area. Students attend classes through the center at various SPC locations.

Year Up Tampa Bay

Year Up Tampa Bay logoYear Up offers an intensive, one-year program for young adults, combining coaching, skills development and internships at some of America’s top companies. It is currently admitting students for its inaugural class launching February 2019 and is located at SPC’s Midtown Center.
