Follett Bookstore
SPC makes it easy for you to get your textbooks with Follett campus bookstores at convenient sites: Clearwater, Health Education Center, Seminole, St. Petersburg/Gibbs and Tarpon Springs. You can buy or rent new or used books at any of the campus bookstores or online at eFollett.com. Bookstore hours and phone numbers are posted online.
Once you have completed registration, login to MySPC and choose Register for Classes, then My Class Schedule. Select the term, then BUY to purchase books through eFollett.com. You can pick up the books you order at a campus bookstore or have them sent to your home. Be sure to redeem your $20 bookstore credit.
Buy used textbooks
Purchasing used textbooks can usually save you 25 percent off the price of a new book. SPC faculty continue to work with Follett bookstores to increase the number of used books available online and on campus. Sell your books at the end of the term for some much needed cash.
Rent your textbooks
Follett's new Rent-a-text program gives you the option of renting a new or used textbook for an academic term rather than purchasing it. Renting a textbook can save you more than 50 percent on average, compared to the purchase price of a new textbook. If you don't want to keep the book, renting may be your least expensive option. Rented texts are simply returned to the bookstore at the end of the term.
Go Digital
A growing number of classes now have digital or e-books available. Digital books can save you cash while saving natural resources. Ask your bookseller for more information.
Book Line of Credit
If you are receiving financial aid and your aid exceeds your tuition and fee charges, you may purchase books and supplies using the Book Line of Credit, a short-term, interest-free loan at campus bookstores.
