Advising
Antonia Williams
As a Career and Academic Advisor and Adjunct Instructor, Antonia Williams brings clarity, compassion and purpose to every student interaction. In just under two years, she’s become a trusted guide for students navigating their academic journeys, helping them find direction, motivation and confidence.
“I always see the perspective of students to understand their goals and where they’re coming from,” Antonia said. “I work really hard to personalize and structure what their road ahead would look like.”
Antonia’s dedication goes beyond advising. She’s entering her second term as an adjunct instructor in developmental reading, where her background in education allows her to connect with students in meaningful ways. Whether in the classroom or one-on-one, her focus remains the same: helping students stay on track and believe in their potential.
“I enjoy motivating students the most,” she shared. “You may not hear them say it, but you can see it in their eyes, in their sighs—that breath of relief when something finally clicks.”
Her leadership also extends to campus life. Antonia played a key role in bringing back the National Society of Leadership and Success to the Seminole Campus. Once a small organization on the Clearwater Campus, Antonia revived it and expanded its reach to over 4,000 students, welcoming more than 100 members in its first term this fall.
“I had the opportunity to pick it back up and push it out to a wider audience,” she said. “That’s probably been my biggest impact.”
Antonia credits much of her growth to mentorship and support from leaders who saw her potential and encouraged her to rise.
“I have to give credit to Dean Ian Wilson,” she said. “He wants everyone to be what he calls a superstar. When he sees potential in you, he’s very encouraging.”
Now, Antonia pays that support forward—motivating students to believe in themselves and take bold steps toward their goals.
“I just want to advocate for being fearless,” she said. “Sometimes you have to walk in blind, fearless, and just knock it out. Before you know it, you realize, ‘Wow, I’ve done this! I’ve conquered that, and I can do this."
