SPC’s Back 2 Finish Program Helps Students Earn an Associate Degree

Students who are looking to finish what they started when it comes to college can look no further than St. Petersburg College’s (SPC) innovative Back 2 Finish program. The initiative helps future Titans fast-track their future, jump-start their careers, or even complete a long-delayed degree.

The program offers flexible options that are designed specifically for adult learners and returning students. It enables eligible participants to leverage prior college credits, life experience, and professional certifications to earn an associate's degree in business quickly.

Through this unique pathway, students can choose from two degree options:

  • Associate in Arts (A.A.) – Business Track
  • Associate in Science (A.S.) in Business Administration

“With Back 2 Finish, students can transform their prior college credits, life, and work experience into a fast-tracked associate degree in business. This initiative is a cornerstone of SPC’s mission to make education more accessible and responsive to real-world needs,” said Dr. Emmanuel Hernandez-Agosto, Dean of SPC’s College of Business. “It empowers students to complete their degrees in under a year, saving time and money, while aligning with the College of Business’s commitment to innovation, flexibility, and workforce readiness.”

Info Sessions

SPC will host two in-person information sessions to help interested students learn more about the program, eligibility, and how to apply:

  • June 17 | 6 – 7 p.m. | Clearwater Campus, ES-105, 2465 Drew St.
  • June 25 | 6 – 7 p.m. | Tarpon Springs Campus, Innovation Hub, 600 E Klosterman Road

The Back 2 Finish program offers:

  • Accelerated, Flexible Courses – Learn on your schedule with options tailored to working adults.
  • Credit-by-Exam Opportunities – Earn credit for what you already know through testing.
  • Prior Learning Assessments – Turn relevant work, military service, or industry certifications into college credits.
