St. Petersburg College's performing arts students develop skills within an arts environment where visual creativity, advanced design technologies, hands-on production and cultural dialogue are emphasized. Performing artists work in multimedia entertainment, television, film and stage and perform in a variety of roles associated with music, dance, acting, casting and directing.

INSTRUMENTAL PERFORMANCE

Our instrumental music classes give aspiring musicians the perfect blend of inspiration and instruction, theory and performance. Our Associate in Arts degree prepares you to continue your education, begin your career in music education, music therapy and as a professional musician. Gain hands-on learning experience through live performances and individual instruction with professional musicians. Our live performance ensembles perform in venues throughout Pinellas County, including the St. Petersburg College Music Center and the Palladium Theater in downtown St. Petersburg.
Theater
Turn your calling into a curtain call. Craft elaborate sets or vie for the lead in a musical with our theater classes that put you center stage. With two productions a year, you can audition for roles that empower you to perfect your craft and build your resume. Budding actors will revel in our acting classes, while technical theater students learn in our fully-equipped scenic and costume shops and with our state-of-the art lighting and sound systems.
