Learn what's in place on the federal, state and local levels to manage disaster preparedness and recovery. Our Homeland Security and Emergency Management A.S. Degree gives current and future emergency professionals a credential to get ahead in their careers. To become certified as an Emergency Manager through the National Coordinating Council on Emergency Management (NCCEM), you need work experience.

Please note: This degree now offers a subplan in Fire Science Technology that gives you a scientific understanding of fire hazards and their control while emphasizing effective operating procedures at fires and other emergencies.

Program Summary

This certificate is designed to prepare students to produce complex digital video tape presentations for ‘on’ or ‘off’ air. Students will be exposed to hands-on training in several aspects of digital videography including: professional video camera operation, on and off-line editing, scripting, lighting, program directing and producing.

All courses apply towards the AS degree in Digital Arts, Media and Interactive Web Design – Digital Video Production subplan. Some courses may require a prerequisite that must be met by the student.
