Learn English

Students who want to improve their English can choose from two options at St. Petersburg College.

English for Academic Purposes

If English is not your primary language, our English for Academic Purposes (EAP) credit classes are offered on St. Petersburg/Gibbs and Clearwater campuses over 16 weeks, beginning three times a year in August, January and May. All English levels are offered, and class occurs 2 days a week. You can earn 12 academic credits for the advanced classes and satisfy the foreign language requirement. This program is available for F-1 visa students.

Intensive English Program

If you want to improve your English, we offer non-credit courses through the Intensive English Program six times a year in January, March, May, June, August and October over 7 or 14 weeks on the Clearwater Campus. All English levels are offered, and class occurs 4 days a week. Courses are not eligible for financial aid and do not satisfy the foreign language requirement of your degree. This program is available for F-1 visa students.

I-17 Disclosure
