Celebrate your milestone at our Graduation Ceremonies

St. Petersburg College proudly hosts several ceremonies and events to celebrate your hard work and academic achievements. These celebrations bring together graduates, families, and friends to honor this important milestone.

SPC Commencement Ceremonies

Graduation ceremonies are open to all graduates, including students who completed their degrees in the Summer term and Fall and Spring degree candidates from the current academic year. SPC holds commencement ceremonies twice a year at the end of Fall and Spring terms.

We look forward to celebrating your success!

Commencement is the formal ceremony that celebrates the completion of your degree or diploma and is typically held at the end of the term. The ceremony lasts approximately 90 minutes. Graduates and guests are expected to remain until the conclusion of the ceremony, when degrees are officially conferred.

Other Events

In addition to collegewide Commencement, individual programs hold separate graduation events for their students. Check with your program for all planned activities and deadlines for this term.

Pinning Ceremonies
Nursing and several other health programs hold pinning ceremonies prior to graduation to signify your initiation into the profession and that you are ready to serve our community as a healthcare professional. Contact your academic department for additional information.

Early College & Early Admission Medallion Ceremony
During the Spring term, Early College and Early Admission Medallion ceremonies are held on the Friday before the collegewide graduation ceremony. This ceremony recognizes our full-time Early College and Early Admission students’ high school and college achievements, as well as their Associate of Arts degree completion. Each student receives a graduation medallion that includes both the PCS & SPC logos, which are worn the following day during the official SPC graduation ceremony. Contact your program for additional information.

Please note: Although the ceremony is usually held the Friday before graduation, because graduation falls during finals week this year, the ceremony will be held on May 15, 2026.
