Prepare to Graduate
If you are a graduate or candidate for the current academic year, you will receive an email from Admissions and Records with instructions on registering for the ceremony. All correspondence is sent to your SPC student email account.
You must register for commencement to participate. Log into MySPC through the Titan Hub, then click on My Academics and then select Commencement Registration. After registering, event details will be sent to your SPC email.
Fall 2026 Commencement Deadlines
Monday, Nov. 16, 2026
Last day to register and have your name included in the official Commencement Program.
Monday, Nov. 30, 2026
Deadline to register and have your Name Card mailed to you before the ceremony.
Friday, Dec.11, 2026
Final deadline to register for the Commencement Ceremony.
Important
No exceptions will be made to these registration deadlines.

Purchase Your Cap and Gown
Graduates participating in Commencement are required to wear official SPC regalia.
- Royal blue caps and gowns are worn by all graduates.
- Associate of Arts (A.A.) graduates wear a blue tassel.
- Graduates earning other degrees or certificates will receive a tassel color based on their academic program.
Regalia may be purchased online through Herff Jones SPC Regalia.
Regalia may be purchased at any SPC campus bookstore before the ceremony or at the Commencement Ceremony.
Pick Up Your Cords and Stoles
Graduation cords and stoles are a time-honored tradition and are worn to signify your academic achievements, membership in student organizations, or involvement in the college community.
Honor Cords
Honor cords are distributed during campus Grad Fests and at graduate check-in on the day of Commencement. Review Honors Eligibility Requirements for qualification details.
First to Finish Cords
First to Finish Cords are distributed during campus Grad Fests and at graduate check-in on the day of the ceremony.
Veteran Cords
Veteran Cords are available from Veterans Services. To arrange pickup, contact shenofsky.allison@spcollege.edu.
Student Organizations and Program Regalia
Students who are members of recognized student organizations, honor societies, or academic programs may be eligible to wear additional cords or stoles. These items must be obtained directly from the sponsoring organization or department. Please contact your organization or academic program for instructions regarding eligibility and distribution.
We encourage all graduates to wear the cords, medallions and stoles that recognize their accomplishments and involvement throughout their educational journey at SPC.
The week before SPC Commencement, you will receive your Name Card in the mail. This postcard will include important information on arrival times, parking and general direction.
Bring this card with you!
Your Name Card is your "fast pass." You do not need to check in upon arrival and can immediately be seated. The card will be used to call your name as you walk across the stage and will be given the official photographer to match with your photo.
If you do not receive a Name card in the mail prior to the ceremony, a blank name card will be available for pick up prior to the start of the ceremony.
Graduates requesting disability accommodations should contact SPC’s Accessibility Services at 727-341-4510. In all situations, a good faith effort (up until the time of the event) will be made to provide accommodations for participating students.
