You will be notified if you are a candidate for graduation at your SPC email address approximately eight to ten weeks after the term begins. If you do not receive a notification and think you should graduate at the end of the term, please contact your academic advisor who can perform a graduation check with you.
Graduating from SPC
Graduation means you have officially and successfully completed all of your degree requirements that will be recorded on your official transcript. Our Admissions and Records office will certify your graduation and officially confer your degree after final grades are verified at the end of the term. To be eligible, you must be registered for all classes that are required to complete your degree or certificate in the term. The degree completion will be reflected on the official transcript throughout the processing period.
Students are responsible for determining that all graduation requirements are complete. It is highly recommended that you meet with your advisor prior to your last semester in order to review your records and ensure all graduation requirements will be met.

Final responsibility for meeting graduation requirements rests with you, the student.
You do not need to apply for graduation. You are automatically evaluated for the program you are currently pursuing and any degree or certificate embedded within that program.
NOTE: All communication regarding graduation and commencement is sent to your MySPC email account. Be sure to check your SPC email frequently for updates.
The College gives special recognition to students in a degree program (Bachelor's and Associates) who demonstrate outstanding academic performance while working toward a degree. Honors distinctions are based on your final cumulative GPA. Certificates are not eligible for honor distinctions. The following chart lists the graduation GPA distinctions:

Honors students are recognized at the commencement ceremony and honors distinctions will be shown on final transcripts.
YOUR DIPLOMA will be sent to your Student Mail Address listed in your MySPC account under Personal Information. If your mailing address has changed, please log in and edit your record. If you wish your diploma sent to a different address, add a new address and designate it as your diploma address type.
The NAME ON YOUR DIPLOMA will be the name listed on your MySPC account. If you wish to have your middle name or initial included log in to your MySPC account and add your diploma name.
If a name change is required, you must submit a Record Change Request with a copy of one of the following documents to Admissions and Records or your campus registration office: driver's license, marriage certificate, divorce decree, Social Security card or a legal document indicating a change of name.
After all graduation requirements are verified and the degree conferred, Spring 2021 graduates should expect to receive their diploma by the end of June 2021. To ensure delivery, make sure your address is updated and accurate since that is the address your diploma will be sent. Verify your current mailing address through MySPC. If you have further questions about your diploma, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Honors designation on your diploma is based on your final cumulative GPA. Certificates are not eligible for honor designation.
A $15 diploma fee for a duplicate or replacement is required.

You can request your official transcript through your MySPC account. The degree completion will be reflected on the official transcript throughout the processing period.
