Psychology Club Field Trip to the Coffee shop
The Psychology Club is planning a group visit to a local coffee shop focused on exploring social anxiety and practicing real-world social interaction. This outing is designed to help students observe and reflect on their comfort levels in social settings and gently challenge themselves by engaging with unfamiliar people in a safe, supportive group environment
Participants will have the opportunity to practice small social interactions—such as ordering, making brief conversation, or observing social dynamics—while discussing how anxiety, self-awareness, and social expectations influence behavior. The activity encourages reflection on psychological concepts related to social anxiety, avoidance, exposure, and interpersonal communication.
