How will the funds pay my bill?
Once approved, your due date will be extended to the FAS Due Date Extension. Open Door funds will be disbursed to your student account to cover your tuition, fees, the Book Line of Credit and First Day Book Program charges. If your award amount is less than the cost of tuition, fees, the Book Line of Credit and the First Day Book Program, you must pay the difference by the tuition due date.
If I’m due a refund, when and how will I get it?
The funds will first cover any balance due to the college. Any remaining funds are refunded at the end of the third week of classes of the earliest session you are enrolled in. Open Door funds can reimburse a student for a payment made out of pocket. If you are enrolled in only Express or Second 8 Week sessions, your financial aid will be refunded at the end of the third week of that session. Refunds are sent to your selected refund preference through Bank Mobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc. Visit BTMX for more information to make a selection if you have not already done so.
What else do I need to know?
