All SPC courses cost less per credit hour than those at a public university or private college. As a result, your scholarships and hard-earned dollars go further at SPC. St. Petersburg College tuition costs about 50% less than state universities, so you spend less for a high-quality, fully accredited education.

Out-of-state residents: $386.90
Upper division (3000-4999)
Florida residents: $122.70
Out-of-state residents: $425.79

Simple steps to enroll in the Payment Plan
- Go to www.spcollege.edu
- Log in to MySPC
- Choose Nelnet Payment Plan link from MySPC, Status Page, under the Finance Section - The Nelnet Payment Plan link is on the left.
Cost to Participate
- $35-$40 nonrefundable enrollment fee depending on the number of payments
- $30 returned payment fee if a payment is returned
After you have enrolled in the payment plan, payments are processed automatically on the 20th of each month.

Payment Plan Availability
Availability of a payment plan is determined by St. Petersburg College. Please be aware the college may elect not to have a payment plan available during specific times and dates during registration.
How is the Payment Plan reflected on my Student Account?
Once you have enrolled in the Nelnet Payment Plan, you will see it listed under "Items that Require My Attention" in MySPC. The due date on your SPC Fee Schedule will not change and your payments to Nelnet will not be immediately reflected. As long as you are current on your Nelnet payments, your classes will not be dropped.
When will my Nelnet payments be reflected on my Student Account?
Your student account will reflect your Nelnet payments once Nelnet sends SPC your payment, which usually occurs about six weeks after the start of classes.
Please do not assume your balance will automatically be adjusted if financial aid is received. You should review your agreement by logging into MySPC and clicking on the Nelnet link on your status page. You will be allowed to make the necessary changes to your payment plan. What if I no longer need to have a Tuition Payment Plan?
If your circumstances change because of any of the following:
- You are awarded financial aid
- You have other means to pay your tuition
- You add or drop classes and your tuition and fee amount changes,
You will need to review and/or cancel your Tuition Payment Plan through Nelnet. You can do this by logging into Nelnet and going to the drop-down menu under Actions. If you do not cancel your payment plan, you must continue making payments until the payment plan is paid in full.
How can I pay off my Tuition Payment Plan?
Call Nelnet at 800-609-8056 to make a payment over the phone or log into your Nelnet account to make a payment online.
How do I receive a refund from Nelnet?
SPC processes all refunds from Nelnet through BankMobile. If you do not have a refund preference chosen in BankMobile, please go to the BankMobile website.
If I am owed a refund from Nelnet, when will I receive it?
For Spring 2019 agreements that have been terminated by Jan. 23, 2019, refunds will be processed the first week of February, 2019.
For Spring Express 2019 agreements that have been terminated by Feb. 14, 2019, refunds will be processed the last week of February, 2019.
For Summer term agreements that have been terminated (non-guaranteed agreements) by May 24, 2019, refunds will be processed the week of June 3, 2019. Refunds for all other agreements (guaranteed agreements) in active status will be refunded the week of June 24, 2019.
All other refunds will be processed the third week of March 2019.
