The Campaign

For nearly a century, St. Petersburg College has been a guiding light for the communities of Tampa Bay, empowering generations to rise out of poverty and build more prosperous lives for themselves and their families.

Through SPC, countless students in Pinellas County have earned degrees, gained skills, and seized new chances at life, all thanks to scholarships, support services, and exceptional teaching. We're here to help them change their stories, all the way to graduation and beyond.

Our students range in age from 15 to 75+, each driven by a desire to excel, succeed, and improve their lives. Whether it's a high school student earning an associate degree or a grandparent finally finishing that bachelor's degree, SPC offers everyone a pathway to a brighter future.

That's our commitment to them-and to you-in the Pathway to Better campaign. Together, we will help our graduates achieve better jobs, better lives, and create better communities throughout Pinellas County.

SPC is a powerful economic engine for Tampa Bay. For decades, our mission has been to help students lift themselves and their families into rewarding careers and sustainable livelihoods. But our commitment to economic empowerment relies on dedicated partners who can help us create resources, build connections, and open doors. We need partners like you.

We're building a talent pipeline to fuel Pinellas County's economy for generations. By supporting scholarships and career-focused programs, you can ensure that our students have the resources to seize the opportunities their SPC education provides.

Certificate programs offer students faster, direct pathways to higher wages through in-demand skills training. Yet, for many, even the cost of these programs remains out of reach. Through the Pathway to Better campaign, we're seeking scholarship support for these vital programs that lead directly to better jobs and brighter futures.

Your gifts will fund career services, retention programs, academic advising, and veterans' services-all of which provide critical support for students on their journey to better jobs and better lives. With your help, they'll stay on course, reach their goals, and contribute to a thriving community.

St. Petersburg College is a place for new beginnings—for second chances, and even third ones.

When you support SPC, you make a tangible, lasting difference in the lives of our students. Your contributions to the SPC Foundation provide vital support for the programs and services that make a degree or certificate possible.

Consider that among our students:

  • 70 percent are eligible for Pell Grants.
  • 46 percent are 25 or older.
  • 31 percent have children.
  • 72 percent work while attending SPC.

For many, wraparound services supported through the Titans Care fund make the difference between dropping out and graduating. Your gifts allow us to expand resources like food pantries, clothing closets, and laptop lending programs, helping students overcome barriers so they can achieve an upward path to financial healthiness.

Scholarship support is also a critical component of the Pathway to Better campaign. In addition to creating new scholarships, you can support over 300 established funds, including the SPC Promise Scholarship, which provides free associate degrees to graduates from eight underserved Pinellas County high schools. This is our promise to create better communities by transforming lives.

Over the past 100 years, St. Petersburg and Pinellas County have transformed from quiet fishing villages and beach towns into thriving centers of technology, industry, and innovation. And SPC has led the way, evolving to meet the changing needs of our community.

We are committed to continuous growth by developing new academic programs and certification opportunities that prepare our graduates to make a difference. From business to engineering, health sciences to education, SPC provides a broad range of studies, with faculty who are dedicated to teaching, training, and preparing students for what comes next.

The college supports the arts in every community we serve, from the Palladium Theater in south Pinellas to the Leepa-Ratner Museum of Art in north Pinellas. We strongly believe that the opportunity for artistic expression lies at the heart of every vibrant, healthy community.

With your support, we can continue attracting and retaining the best faculty across disciplines. Together, we will graduate alumni who are ready to strengthen and sustain our communities.
