EARN ACADEMIC CREDIT FOR YOUR MILITARY SERVICE
St. Petersburg College (SPC) recognizes the value of military training and experience and provides pathways for students to earn college credit. Credit is awarded based primarily on Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) Military Course Articulation. If no state-approved articulation exists for a course, SPC considers recommendations from the American Council on Education (ACE) and official military transcripts.
Please reference the FLDOE’s Military Course Equivalency List when reviewing the your transcript.
ACCEPTED TRAINING RECORDS
SPC evaluates and may award credit for training from the following sources:
- Army (AARTS)
- Air Force (CCAF)
- Navy/Marine Corps (SMART)
- Coast Guard
- Space Force
JOINT SERVICES TRANSCRIPTS (JST)
SPC does not automatically post JST transcripts to student records. Note that the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) is regionally accredited and does not fall under JST.
Students who wish to have their JST posted must first consult with their academic advisor and a Veterans Services Specialist to understand how the credits may impact program progress, degree requirements, and financial aid eligibility. Only after this consultation should students complete complete this survey.
Be aware that not all courses on a JST are eligible for transfer, and once posted, JST transcripts cannot be removed.
