The Networking Technologies Associate in Science Degree at SPC prepares students for network support and network engineering positions in the IT field. With this degree, students can pursue SPC's bachelor's degree in Technology Development and Management. The Networking Technologies program offers students the choice of two different pathways/sub-plans, Network Infrastructure or Enterprise Cloud Computing. As part of the Networking Technologies A.S. degree, students will complete an internship that provides valuable experience for a potential career. F-1 Visa students are eligible for this degree program.

Program Summary

This program is offered as a Fully Online program.

This program is designed for students to build, maintain, and manage an integrated network, utilizing the latest networking technologies, to implement network security measures, and to develop analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve common network issues locally or in the cloud. This program prepares students to sit for the CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Cloud Essentials+, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) industry certifications depending upon which program pathway is selected.

Graduation Requirements

Minimum grade of "C" required in all Support and Major Core courses.

AS GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Communications - Composition- Core
Complete 3 credits from the approved General Education Composition I coursework. Minimum grade of "C" required. This requirement must be completed within the first 24 credits of coursework toward the AS degree.

AS GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Social and Behavioral Sciences- Core
Complete 3 credits from the approved General Education Social and Behavioral Sciences coursework. Minimum grade of "C" required. Completing POS 2041 or POS 2041H or AMH 2020 or AMH 2020H will satisfy the course component of the Civic Literacy Requirement.

Competency may be demonstrated by completing at least one course from the approved General Education Civic Literacy coursework below (minimum grade of "C" required) AND satisfactory completion of an assessment (exam). This requirement is in compliance with Rule 6A-10.02413 of the Florida Administrative Code.
