Volunteer

The Gibbs Junior College Alumni Association (GJCAA) proudly hosts the annual Golfing for Scholars Golf Tournament to raise funds for the Gibbs Junior College Alumni Association Scholarship, supporting students in their pursuit of higher education. This event would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, whose time and effort make a lasting impact on both the tournament and the students who benefit from the scholarships.

Ways You Can Volunteer

The GJCAA welcomes volunteers in a variety of areas, including:

  • Event Setup and Registration — Assist with check-in, distribute materials and welcome participants.
  • Course Marshals — Help keep the event organized by guiding players and ensuring smooth gameplay.
  • Hospitality and Refreshments — Support food and beverage stations, providing a great experience for golfers.
  • Drawing and Auction Assistance — Help with fundraising activities that contribute directly to the scholarship fund.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is a meaningful way to give back, support education and honor the legacy of Gibbs Junior College. By offering your time, you help create an event that brings the community together, raises essential scholarship funds, and continues the tradition of giving. Whether you assist with registration, event logistics, hospitality, or on-course support, every role plays a crucial part in ensuring a successful and memorable tournament.
