New Students
Once you have applied to St. Petersburg College, there are a few more steps you must take to officially start your journey as a Titan. A full list of next steps is provided below.

- Trouble logging in? Try resetting your password, if that doesn’t work, contact the Technical Support Center.

SPC requires official transcripts to complete your admission and financial aid process.
High School/GED: Final, official high school diploma or GED transcripts are needed for proof of graduation. If you have completed an A.A.S. degree or higher at a regionally accredited institution, you do not need to submit high school transcripts.
College/University: If you attended another college or university and want to attend SPC, you’re a transfer student. You will need to submit official transcripts from every regionally accredited college that you have attended.
To order your transcripts, contact each college you have attended and ask them to send us an official copy of your final transcripts. Each college has their own process for ordering transcripts. If you need to submit a written request, use our transcript request form.
College Placement Tests help determine your readiness for college-level courses in reading, writing, and math. They’re not pass/fail, they’re designed to place you in the right courses to support your success.
You should take the Placement Test (PERT) if you don’t have recent (within two years) passing ACT, SAT, or Classic Learning test scores, and you meet one of the following conditions:
- You graduated from a private high school.
- You received a high-school diploma as a home-schooled student.
- You graduated from a Florida public high school in 2007 or earlier, or started in 9th grade before the 2003-04 school year.
- You completed a GED.
- You graduated from an out-of-state high school.
If you have taken the SAT, ACT, or Classic Learning Test (CLT) within the last two years, please submit official scores to St. Petersburg College Admissions office. You should also submit official scores if you have passed AICE, AP, or CLEP exams.
NOTE: If you passed a college-level math or Composition 1 course with a “C” or higher at a regionally accredited U.S. college, this may fulfill your placement test requirement. Send your official transcripts to SPC for evaluation. An unofficial transcript can be used for initial placement.
